IT'S ALIIIIIIIVE

I mean, what's two years in the life of an indifferent blogger? Just a blink of the eye.

So, kudos to me, it's not NaNoWriMo and I'm updating my blog!!!!! Anyway I thought I'd update the ol' Spete Blog with my newest publication announcement!

Two (2) short stories! Both are older (3+ years old) works that I decided on a whim to publish (read as: I was working on my novel and had fallen into a pit of despair because it's so long and I'm never going to finish the thing and I dismally remembered that I haven't published anything since Andrian Adventures like 10 years ago and what is even the point of keeping all my old stories to myself on my laptop if I'm just going to stare sadly at them day and isn't it much better to publish them and then stare sadly at the 0 Sales report instead)

They're fractured fairy tales of the silliest sort.

Also, both take place in the kingdom of Atlis. I have done so much world building for Atlis since I wrote the two stories, and neither talks about all the cool things Atlis has (spoiler alert it has weredogs. why Sarah, why). I'm probably never going to get around to publishing any of my actually interesting, non-fairy tale Atlis novels, aaaand I have no idea where I was going with this. Oh yeah, Atlis. "Scrapper" takes place about 30 years before Atlis unified (FUN FACT: the couple in Scrapper are actually the parents of the guy who becomes the first king of Atlis ~now you know~), while TBaHB occurs like 200 years later.

Here are links:
"The Beast and Her Beauty" (a retelling of Cinderella AND Beauty & the Beast because I'm cool like that)
"Scrapper" (a retelling of Allerleiruah, which is my favorite fairy tale and if given the chance, I would publish the five retellings I've done of it, but no one wants to read that because the original fairy tale is creepy af)

tldr; please enjoy this treat, because at the pace I'm writing As the King, I'm not going to publish anything for another 2 years.

you're welcome.

And nope, definitely not going to apologize for the 100% Flash related gifs in this post.
(you're welcooooome)

There is something off about it. I mean, this movie is ok. Also, why is Amanda Bynes a genre? Mysterious. I sort of zoned out while watching this and read webcomics instead. Still, it's cute. anyway, onto tonight's main attraction (attractive man whaaaaat) SUPERMAN   Genres: Superhero, Action, Fangirl ...does the Fangirl genre count if I'm the only fangirl? yes. Magic Carpet

As it turns out, in Andria, three witches control the magical shenanigans that always seem to be happening. Is it super weird to have them travel by magic carpet? Brooms just seem ridiculously inconvenient, not to mention uncomfortable, and really not practical for traveling long distances. I mean, not like a magic carpet's super practical either.

Three Witches

Let's be real; I'm not good at blogging. Still, I decided to put up an update for the world to enjoy! The cover for Andrian Adventures is in the works, and I've now finished one whole chapter of Part Two, which probably gets me a huge celebration, and maybe a trip to Lion's Tap. This means that I now have one chapter and two half chapters completed, which is exciting stuff, you know, considering that I've been "working" on Part Two since... June. Also, I was at the library today (when am I not at the library?) and re-discovered all of my teenage-hood author crushes. Notably Patricia C. Wrede, who I'm still willing to fan stalk around the Twin Cities until we can become best friends. Disclaimer-- I've never creepily stalked her... well, only online, which doesn't count. Right? Right. It's fun getting back into YA fantasy... I think during college and after I graduated I decided that I wanted to read Big Kid Books so I've mostly been
