Day Three

My cat and I could not handle the end of Daylight Savings this morning. (not a surprise).
He woke up at 4am hungry for breakfast, I woke up either at 7 or 8 and I'm still not sure which one it was.

In other news, we didn't get snow last night!
Sure, it's November, this is Maine, and if it's anything like Minnesota in the early winter, it's going to snow in November. I should probably find my winter clothes...? Yeah, that's a good plan.

Oh yes, NaNoWriMo!

I'm slugging along, not doing too badly considering that I've been busy the first two days of the month. I really can't wait until the plot gets going but I'm close to that point! So close!

so close.

The grating protagonist is paragraphs away from meeting her Wise Mentor, who is named Phoebe. They don't like each other. Who am I kidding, Sin doesn't like anyone. Phoebe is still stuck in that post-college "wtf am I doing with my life" phase, and she meets Sin in a YMCA locker room after Sin loses control of her powers and tries to drown her nemesis. High school is great. Actually, I'm already tired of writing about high school drama. It'll be nice once I'm done with that part of the story!
Let's see.... Phoebe... I'm excited to write her. She's going to act all bad-ass, but not actually think she's that bad-ass, but she is that cool. She's book smart but not that good of a teacher, which Sin will constantly remind her of. Phoebe likes to think and act like she knows what's going on, but most of the time she's just as clueless as Sin. Mostly, I'm just super excited to have Sin call her "Pheebs" all the time.

Uhhh I've introduced Hot Guy #1, Alden. So smoking hot. Love interest, yes. Sin isn't going to fall pathetically in love with him. Yet.

Mostly I've just thrown in a bunch of Sin's high school friends, who probably aren't all that important anyway, other than Mel the Nemesis. Poor Mel.

Oh yes, and the other important character is Gracie, who is haunting Sin's home. She and Sin are bffs and yaaay friendship etc whatever.

Ummmmm yup. Writing.

like this corgi, I am just gliding alonggg

That's all I've got. Whooo Sunday!

There is something off about it. I mean, this movie is ok. Also, why is Amanda Bynes a genre? Mysterious. I sort of zoned out while watching this and read webcomics instead. Still, it's cute. anyway, onto tonight's main attraction (attractive man whaaaaat) SUPERMAN   Genres: Superhero, Action, Fangirl ...does the Fangirl genre count if I'm the only fangirl? yes. So, this is the story of Kal-El, who was sent to earth as a wee babe because his native home of Krypton was about to BLOW THE HECK UP. He is adopted by a possible Minnesotan (Jonathan Kent, I'm l

Magic Carpet

As it turns out, in Andria, three witches control the magical shenanigans that always seem to be happening. Is it super weird to have them travel by magic carpet? Brooms just seem ridiculously inconvenient, not to mention uncomfortable, and really not practical for traveling long distances. I mean, not like a magic carpet's super practical either.

Three Witches

Let's be real; I'm not good at blogging. Still, I decided to put up an update for the world to enjoy! The cover for Andrian Adventures is in the works, and I've now finished one whole chapter of Part Two, which probably gets me a huge celebration, and maybe a trip to Lion's Tap. This means that I now have one chapter and two half chapters completed, which is exciting stuff, you know, considering that I've been "working" on Part Two since... June. Also, I was at the library today (when am I not at the library?) and re-discovered all of my teenage-hood author crushes. Notably Patricia C. Wrede, who I'm still willing to fan stalk around the Twin Cities until we can become best friends. Disclaimer-- I've never creepily stalked her... well, only online, which doesn't count. Right? Right. It's fun getting back into YA fantasy... I think during college and after I graduated I decided that I wanted to read Big Kid Books so I've mostly been
